Those who come to rest on the Black Sea are used to seeing it calm and affectionate, but in order to catch a real wave for surfing, you need to find out what the weather will be  in Sochi  in November. In the surf club in the village of Dolzhanskaya, there is a children's club where you don't have to pay for the first year of study at all. Yes, children study there all year round, although there are options for newcomers to study in the summer.

It is not rational to look for a stain on your own, as the process can take too long. It is better to immediately know the place where to direct your attention. Some of the proven options for surfers of different development levels are:

1. Hosta Rick. It even hosted the Russian Surfing Championship.
2. Ashe in Sochi. Experienced surfers know the longest waves are the best here.
3. Lazarevskoe. Only 57 km from Sochi. There are waves of the correct shape.
4. North Cape in Anapa. South-east and south-west winds did their job: they drove fast waves without chop.
5. Weeping rock in Anapa. Nearby is the station "Anapa-surfing", the beach "Malaya Bukhta".
6. Uchkuevka on the western coast of Crimea is a place for those who have already acquired the basics of skiing and know what a beach break is. Unlike the previous ones, this is a comfortable place with a developed infrastructure. There are no secluded places in the summer, but those who like fun crowded parties will be fine here: a sandy beach, but a few meters from the shore there is a strip of pebbles in the water. Periodically, the pier, demolished by the winter surf, is being restored here.
7. The waves of the wild beach at the Fisherman's Stone of the village of Kacha are preferable to those formed by the winds on the cultural beach. This is due to the presence of a sand spit, which is located a kilometer from the coast. Odessa storms help to form excellent point breaks. Recommended for practicing skills, that is, not for beginners, but for those who want to consolidate the basics and improve their skills.
8. Lyubimovka. It is sometimes referred to as the perfect beginner spot. Waves here are beach breaks and reef breaks. The beach has concrete piers that are solid and indestructible in winter. The infrastructure is not developed, and this is the second point (after the presence of a wave) - after all, there are not many vacationers here. When the swells arrive, beach tourists leave for other locations.
9. The western coast of the Crimean peninsula from the northern border of Sevastopol to the village called Nikolaevka. This place is the best for beginners who want to learn the basics of science in the summer, when a long stay in the water does not allow freezing. Roughly the same can be said about Andreevka, located nearby.
10. Feodosiya Bay is also suitable for those wishing to ride in the summer, especially in the area of ​​the village of Primorskoe.

The last three of the above locations are ideal for beginners looking for a comfortable summer learning experience. The rest of the named places are for skiing in late autumn and early spring, and they are suitable only for fairly experienced surfers, because the sea waves are much more unpredictable than their ocean counterparts based in Bali, Morocco or Portugal.

There have been cases when Muscovites arrive in Novorossiysk in January to catch quite a decent wave. At this time, the  weather in Novorossiysk is  harsh: water + 10 °, air + 10 °, but surfers are no stranger to it!

From Malaya Bay to Big Wave

If "wave catchers" go to St. Petersburg and Kaliningrad, then the Black Sea is generally a luxury option for them, although experts say that although the Baltic Sea has no direct connection with the ocean, storms from the Atlantic reach it. But if we talk about the weather, the weather in Crimea is much warmer than the  weather in Kaliningrad! So fans of world renowned surfers such as Billy Kemper, Makua Rothman, Brian Kiulana, Ahanu Tsong-Drew have the opportunity to grow up to the ocean waves, conquering their domestic ones.

It is impossible to immediately get into the ocean and unmistakably pass the surf without risk to health. It is simply impossible to think of a better basis for learning than the Black Sea, because it is only in the cinema that everything seems so simple and easy! They do not show how a beginner surfer smashed his face on sharp corals and how many times he has to look for less crowded places before they stop laughing at him.

The calm and cozy Black Sea will give you the opportunity to master all the necessary skills "without straining", so that later you can easily and confidently ride on a large tropical wave.
